Measurements Company (EMCO) is an established manufacturer
of precision flowmeters for liquid, gas and steam. Founded

Hydro-Flow
division introduces a new generation of low cost vortex
flowmeters specifically designed for commercial HVAC, turf
and landscape irrigation, agriculture and semiconductor
water flow applications.
Hydro-Flow
vortex flowmeters measure liquids by detecting the frequency
at which vortices are shed from an obstruction in the process
fluid line (the bluff body). Piezoelectric sensors mounted
outside the flow line act as the transducer, converting
vortex pulses into electrical signals. This is considered
a "No moving parts" flowmetering technology. Hydro-Flowä
offers inline and insertion models, covering pipe sizes
from ½" to 20" for a wide range of flows
and accuracy of ± 0.5% of full scale, with a turndown
of 50:1. Microprocessor based electronics are field configurable
and offer pulse or current outputs. With a 2 year warranty
(the industries best) Hydro-Flowä offers a vestal alternate
to meters with "moving parts".
